About
If I have had any success in graphic design, it is because I bring an architect’s process to each project. Knowing what questions to ask and how to listen are key elements in discovering each client’s brand DNA and the story that wants to be told.
I designed my first wine label more than 20 years ago. Over the past two decades, that portion of my career has blossomed to many other aspects of graphic design including the following:
· Name Generation and Brand Development
· Logo Design
· Package Design
· POS and Collateral Materials
· Business Papers
· Signage
Thirty-three years ago, we opened the doors to an architectural firm that would become BOXWOOD. Our vision: collaborate with select clients to create vibrant design solutions. This continues to be the guiding force behind BOXWOOD’s success.
In naming our firm, we were intentional in omitting partner surnames so BOXWOOD would continue into the future with leadership from successive new generations of architects. Accordingly, I am thrilled that my partner Karlin Bungartz is leading the firm going forward and that her commitment to the values we have established will continue to serve our architecture clients and community.
Karlin and her team will devote their considerable talents entirely to architecture while allowing me continue to serve existing and new brand design and graphic clients under a new firm bearing my name. This is work that I have grown to love and the success of the graphic design portion of BOXWOOD’s business also means that it can stand on its own.
Karlin and I will continue to collaborate and to be each other’s best critic as we look to the future.
